Long story short
Viaduct Animal Sanctuary is a local independent charity (No:1174696) that rescues and rehomes unwanted, abandoned and in some cases mistreated animals.
We receive no funding from the government or National Lottery and rely on the generosity and goodwill of our supporters to keep our doors open. It costs approximately £14,880 every year to run – that’s over £40 each and every single day. This figure does NOT include any veterinary care or new housing that may be required.
The sanctuary is run by a team of dedicated and passionate volunteers. Our volunteers undertake roles from cleaning out and feeding the animals we have at the sanctuary, to providing refreshments at fundraising events, manning the shop area, helping out with site maintenance and taking photographs of our animals.
We are entirely self-funded, we have an open day once a month and in addition to that we go out into the local community and increase funds by raising awareness and where possible find loving and responsible new homes for each and every one of them.
